Sustainable Earth Eating Launches Plant-Based, Planet-Friendly Cooking Video Series

(Bethesda, MD – Mar. 7, 2023) For National Nutrition Month, Sustainable Earth Eating (SEE) launched a new lineup of cooking videos from Vegan Chef Erin DeMarines. The videos will feature plant-forward recipes that are both nutritious and environmentally friendly. New plant-based recipes will also be available on SEE’s website each week.

Most people know that plant-based eating is good for their health. Those who eat a plant-based diet lower their risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other health conditions, according to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. What many do not realize is that it’s also better for the planet.

“Meat-based diets produce twice the carbon footprint of plant-based diets,” said DeMarines. “I am excited to show how eating a plant-based diet is not only good for your health and extremely tasty, but also sustainable.”

Erin’s Kitchen launched with a video for a wholesome vegan bowl and recipes for a plant protein salad and an easy vegan pizza along with plant-based snack ideas. DeMarines is a Vegan Chef and Entrepreneur who started E-Fit Foods, a plant-based food company based in Tampa, Florida. She has been featured on WFLA, Bloom TV and Unchained TV for her cooking and vegan food ventures.

Consumer eating habits changing for health and climate

As a recent study by the Plant Based Foods Association and Datassential showed, nearly one-third of the U.S. population shows a strong affinity for plant-based food.

“As more people turn to plant-based eating for health reasons, they should also feel good about how it supports the environment. Animal agriculture is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions globally. Reducing meat consumption one day a week is a small step we can all take to limit the environmental damage,” DeMarines said.
