🌱 Climate Diet Inspires Young Minds

Climate Diet took the stage at Montgomery County’s 4th Annual Youth Climate Summit at Julius West Middle School in Rockville, MD. DeMarines taught 3 Power of Food sessions to nearly 100 students at the Saturday event.

It’s goal–to educate youth about the importance of protecting our environment and the role they can play in building a sustainable future also featured, quizzes on meat and environment witth prizes.

As a reward, vegan chocolate energy bars—produced by Pure Bliss Organics—were distributed to students who signed pledges to reduce meat consumption, emphasizing that sustainable living can also be delicious!. PLNT Burger of Rockville also supplied coupons for a free PLNT Burger to those wanting to reduce meat consumption, which was 80% of attendees of the 3 sessions of The Power of Food.

“Climate education is essential in empowering the next generation to understand, confront, and solve the environmental challenges we face. By incorporating climate literacy into our school systems, we’re equipping students with the knowledge and tools to build a more sustainable and just future.” Eyob scored 100% on Meat Quiz, & won the lottery for $25 gift card.
