UCLA Environment Professor Joins Climate Diet Advisory Board

Noted author and UCLA university professor Janet (Jay) O’Shea has joined Climate Diet’s Advisory Board. At UCLA O’Shea is a team member for “Food as Lens for the Environment and Sustainability Justice” freshman course, a regular volunteer with animal rights and food justice organizations, a noted speaker at Climate organization professional conferences, and podcast guest on climate (Climate & Cuisine podcast 11/25/24) Her UCLA

She is the author of Risk, Failure, Play: What Dance Reveals about Martial Arts Training (2019) and At Home in the World: Bharata Natyam on the Global Stage (2007). She is currently writing a book on the structure of activist efforts, entitled Bodies on the Line: Physicality, Emotion, and Social Justice, which focuses on utility cycling advocacy, border solidary efforts, and farmed animal rescue

She is a Professor and Chair of the department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance at UCLA.
